Farewell 2014 !!!!!

"Relieving through the memories of 2014, I concluded how stupid I am. The times I took wrong decisions, some things which I should not have said, some debates I should not have indulged in, hurting some dear ones; all memories haunting me pulling me down into the muck of gloominess. Making me feel as an idiot.

But, All these always reminds me something... One more year have passed and I have grown WISER"


Last 2 week I had been very busy, it requires a separate blog post for all those activities. Today late night, I would be leaving for I.I.T. and yes, i would be celebrating my new year in train. First, i felt sad about it, but now, I assume it will be a new experience altogether. In between my busy schedule, to the time I say good bye to my family, I thought of saying farewell to this eventful year.

First quarter of this year was duly spent on preparing and taking the dreadful JEE. Stressful it was , but indeed, a worth shot for a great life ahead. I still remember the day of JEE result, I was not happy. Not because it didn't fared up to expectations, but because I realized the WAR is over.

And then, later half of this year, it can't be expressed in words, literally. I.I.T. life, friends, late night masti, rendezvous, speranza, major exams, after major masti, birthday bash, all together a candid life. But, everyone knows the fact, law of averages always have the last laugh. With the endless fun one had to suffer the wrath of exams, boring lectures, assignments, failed relationship .......

"Life was never fair. Its like heartbeat. If  they don't have ups and down, that means you are dead."

This year have been a roller coaster ride, with ups having maximum risk of falling and lows having maximum hope of climbing up. Just one should know when one would fall and when one should let go and RISE.

At the end I Apologize everyone whom I hurt directly or indirectly. I'm not apologizing because I'm wrong and you are right. It just because that I value our relationship more than my ego........

VMC Diaries :- Alok Bhaiya

We were busy preparing for our next lecture, in the midst of all these hustle between students discussing problems on dreaded ionic equilibrium ,enters teacher for our class. After fifteen minutes of pin drop silence, few decibels of noise created by different colored pens jotting down all one can grasp from the white board, our chemistry teacher in his most graceful tone said "Chemistry sabse wahiyaat subject hai, boring ,exceptions;;;   Is subject se mujhe nafrat hai ,  aur yaahan dekho,,  main chemistry hi padha raha hun.......(momentary pause, and then in his usual self) .....Par koi nahi, aaj toh hum ions se batein karenge", and then with this class going berserk we got to know about the gem of the personality.

In the two years, there were countless moments of brilliance multiplied by laughter in our Chemistry class. Still miss those classes with him. I'm going to share some of the awesome moments with The Alok Bhaiya;

Analaysing how to crack a test with maximum marks;
"Ab hum Einstein ke aulad toh hai nahi ki saare ke saare question kar dalein,    test main kuch aasan question hote hain aur kuch muskil. Muskil wale question dekh ke to tumhe hasna chaiyeh, is question ko karne main sab phansege and mujhe isse chodna hai. "

Whenever someone asked some irrelevant doubts:

"Ab main agar tumse punchu ki, tumhare baal(hair) ka rang kala kyun hai??"

While teaching colloidal solutions;

"Sol bhi gazab chiz hai, sol ka jo dispersed phase hai, uska size, solution ka solute particles se thoda hi bada hota hai,..... and naam bhi itna sayi diya hai bechare ko,, sol, SOLN.(solution) ,bante bante reh gaya........."

While discussing questions:

"Question ko bilkul tamiz se padho, jis din question ko izzat nahi doge, sochoge yeh toh do koudi ka hai, wahi question piche se tumhe laat marega..."

"yeh sab chapter ko ignore mat karo,(talking about surface chem, bio molecules),, chhote chhote chapters hain par ek ek question pakka hai JEE main...,, surface se har saal ek q, biomolecules se har saal ek q, and coordination se toh pura baarat aata hai...."

And this one during chemical bonding class:

"yeh hai s ka gubaara, aur yeh hai p ka gubaara . ab kuch anokha jaadu hota hai, sab bhagwan ki leela man lo.....yeh dono gubaare milte hain aur ek naya bada gubaara banta hai "

And this one when any frustrated student asks questions like "what if this happens," and "what if its not mentioned particularly in the question" .. his awesome reply

"toh tu kood jaa......"

Whenever someone mobile rings;

"tum log kabhi nahi sudhorege, tameez se phone ko band kiya karo, mobile switch off karte ho bhul jate ho alarm laga hua hai,,,, aur phir ghanti suru,,,, phone ko switch off karo,,, uski battery nikalo,,, and  sim card ko bhi nikal ke rakh do..kya pata wo bhi kuch kar de...."

 

Alok bhaiya ,thank you for  making our jee journey the most cherished ones in our life.


There are more much brilliant incidents, but writing it will make me an author to the best selling novel.....So, for today i will end it here, will publish another post in continuation to this........

How we Generalize things

Let's start with some sitters-- what's the value of 5+6 ; calculate the mean of 4 and 6.
It's too easy ? the answer being 11 and 5.
What if i tell you your answer is wrong.  Surprised? Let's check out the facts.

Sometimes we know the concepts,theories,underlying facts but still we choose to ignore it unconsciously and go with the superficial nature of the problem. And then the problem arises, we start doing it so often that we forget that there could be an alternate to it.

Let's look out for the question in the beginning of the post. Think about the first question- 5+6 ... what if i tell you the answer is 'b'. We all have heard about diff. system - binary, hexadecimal , and the most popular ,the one that we use decimal. But, we are so used to decimal system that we tend to forget that something like diff. system exist. the answer 5+6=b is in hexadecimal system. Going ahead with second question mean of 4 and 6 . again we all know about diff. kind of mean- arithmetic,geometric, harmonic and so on. But we are so used to arithmetic mean that again we tend to generalize things. In arithmetic mean the answer is indeed 5.

Our answer 5+6=11 and mean =5 is not wrong considering decimal system and arithmetic mean but if other system are used , it's a diff. story all together. I'm not saying that we should not generalize things , doing it will lead to ultimate chaos.

But, we should not forget that there's a back story to every problem. A different solution in different perspective. And this is not limited to any mathematical or scientific problems. We can extend it to real life existing problems. Instead of generalizing things we should start looking it from a diff. perspective.

Inspired by the philosophy of Alok bhaiya - my chemistry teacher in +2 . He can make a boring dull subject like chemistry the most entertaining among all subjects. That's his charm.

The Mythical Riddle : The eventful NIGHT

As an avid fan of Mahabharata, I thought on posting something related to it. Hours ago, I was taking an online quiz when this question on Indian mythology popped up. Was completely amazed by the question (basically the story of eventful beginning of something),and hence decided to write about it.

"When Yuddhisthira was king of Hastinapur, two farmers came to him to settle their issue. One of them had sold a plot of land to the other. Shortly after the sale, the buyer had found a rich treasure under the field. Now, the buyer said that the treasure belonged to the other farmer as he had only bought the field and not what was under it. The other said the treasure should go to the farmer who bought the land as the sale was of the land and everything under it. Puzzled, Yuddhisthira asked them to come back the next day. However, when they did come back the following day, their arguments had changed totally with each farmer now claiming the treasure for himself. What had happened overnight to bring about this change in heart?"

Before giving away the answer ; Let's get acquainted with the era according to Hindu's philosophy.

Now according to Hindu cosmology, one Yuga comprising 4 era is being repeated every billion years which is one complete day for Lord Brahma. This Yuga comprises Satya Yuga , Treta Yuga , Dwapara Yuga and Kali Yuga. Currently we are in Kali Yuga.

Now the answer to the question: It marked the beginning of Kali Yuga.

The DEMONS (sadness and hapiness)

Happiness and Sadness. 
There would be days when you felt everything is happening good in your life, it can't get better. and then an eerie feeling creeps in how in hell could everything be all right. There ought to be some catch.And when everything was going well and good in our life the DEMON comes- the law of averages. And everything fall apart.

It's apt said, a distressed mind can turn any common person into one of the biggest philosophers. Most of the times, our sadness is related to someone or something we get obsessed with, and then when we can't get our expectations right everything gets messed up. We start to live in our dreams, building a castle of memories - a place far from reality.

"For me it was like I don't want to hear the truth because I don't wanted my illusion to be destroyed."

And when the bubble of illusion finally explodes, you look out for something to hold upon. But, what you get is darkness- a blank void staring you. You weep,shout ,call out names knowing clearly that everything won't be same ever. But still you won't let go. 


 Remember one thing , nothing can be more important than you yourself. In midst of running behind someone or something you lose a part of yourself.
Learn this bitter truth asap, no one loves you unconditionally except your parents. So before craving and loving something love yourself.
 

And Sadness my friend is by-product of happiness my friend. Life- it was never easy. But what's important is what you make out of it. The early you understand it, the better it gets.

I was going through some old random status and conversations on my facebook profile. I realized how an idiot i was... More than i am presently..... What a moron i was when i wrote something or text someone....

But, soon i realized I have changed. In between, past days and present state i didn't realized how quickly i grew up. So, its all my friends, you will never be the same with every passing moment. 

The good days will make you a happier person but what makes you great is the worse days.... it gives you experience..... It makes you a better person..

5 dimensioal space...Explanation of higher dimension....

If not then "were u watching carefully?",,,

Interstellar , yet another masterpiece from greatest director of all time. If u missed it watching in the theaters, you missed a classic my friend.

So whats depicted in this pic. ...yeah, all of you who had seen this movie ..its a tessaract, shown inside a black hole in fifth dimension.

These objects which u can't feel are tough to understand, in this case higher dimension. Few years back, i was going through a book on relativity and singularity hypothesis, i came across a good approach of understanding dimension higher than 3. I will discuss it here whatever i can recall.

We live in 4-D..... Don't look at my post with this poker face..... I will explain how...

Consider a point. Its in 0-dimension. Now go a notch higher, 1-dimension,consider a line. in a line u can see all the points,i.e. in a 1-dimension space you can see all of 0-dimension. Now we go further ahead, 2-dimension,a plane. In a plane we can see all the possible lines in a plane and in turn points, i.e. in a 2-dimension u can see all of 1-dimension and beyond it.

Same way in a 3-dimension , a cube you can see all planes,lines and points which r possible in "3D-space". You got the jest, right??? In a n-dimension, u can see all of n-1  dimension.

Now comes the magic of higher dimension. What will you observe in 4-dimension?? Yes , in 4D we will observe all such 3D spaces. Now consider time as 4Dimension... What ?? a bit hard to digest..

Ok, if i tell u any thing u can measure can be a dimension , time as a case here ..Let me give you a famous example.... consider a orange in real time... its dimension ?? 3 or is it?? its 3 for the three spatial axis. now if i consider weight as a dimension , then its 4-Dimension... Now instead of weight consider time as a dimension for the 4D. Now , we have something special in 4-Dimension, its 3D-spaces and time which we famously called "spacetime."

Now, for us,, nolan fans, what was there in that black hole ... 5-Dimension... Going by our analogy, if u r in 5-D what will you observe, u will see all possible spacetime!!!!!!(combined system of 3D-space and time)..

With all possible spacetime means anuthing that could have happened , have happened or will happen..............REALLY??????

Now it would have been clear that we live in 4-D, 4th dimension being time... We live in 4-D ,,and we travel in 3D space..... Now, if a object is in 5-D , it can travel in a given spacetime(4-D).... That's that is shown in the above pic. took from the latest classic from    "THE LEGEND."

1st Semester Over !!!!!!!

14 weeks in I.I.T. Delhi are over. A roller coaster ride with some lows and many highs, journey of these 5 months had been the most awesome part of my life.

 It all started with a exam(jee) and ended with another(majors), and in between came endless masti. Academic wise it was all about learning phase, not learning concepts and theories but all together in a different aspect "to learn how to study."

Most of us had a hard times managing  between endless co-curricular activities and academics going around us. Till the time we learnt the laws of this magical land we see we are already at our home with our grade (or i should call c.g.p.a.) flashing on our laptop screen. And then we think " is semester toh nahi padha , agle semester toh phod dunga" ; "home sickness ke karan nahi padh paya, agle semester toh phod dunga" ; "wo col(or engg. drawing or bla..bla..any particular weak subject) ke karan c.g. kam reh gayi, agle semester toh phod dunga" ; "clubs and sportske karan nahi padh paya, agle semester toh phod dunga" ;;;;; and many such execuses.
But we forget this is endless vicious circle that we draw upon us with this attitude.

Nevertheless, Just 5 months and one semester, 7 more to come , a roller coaster ride , with few lows and many highs. I can say it can't get any better. 
                         Just wanna say abhi toh party suru hui hai...
